Police in Lagos, Nigeria, Friday arrested a man, his doctor and a nurse for allegedly conspiring to sell his baby.
Daniel Chigozie reportedly connived with his doctor, Musa Peter, and a nurse – Ezike Chinenye – to sell his three-month-old baby for N400,000 to one woman – Ezeobi Chinenye – without the knowledge of the baby’s mother.
“A father connived with his doctor and nurse and sold his three-month-old- baby to a woman for N400, 000 without the knowledge of the mother. After days of searching, the police were informed. All suspects arrested. Baby is safe,” spokesperson for Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, tweeted Thursday.
Hundeyin said that the incident occurred on August 20, 2022, at Oke-Odo, Lagos.
He added that the suspects were arrested on Thursday, August 25, 2022.
