The wife of ailing veteran rapper Eedris Abdul Kareem – Yetunde – is to donate one of her kidneys to be him, a family source, who begged for anonymity, has disclosed.
“The wife is donating her kidney for him,” the source said. “All that is left now is to get the money needed for the surgery.”
Three weeks ago, the Jaga-Jaga singer revealed on Instagram he had been diagnosed with kidney failure and was undergoing dialysis in a Lagos hospital. He sought prayers, assistance and good wishes from Nigerians.
On Thursday – July 21 – the rapper took to his Instagram account to share details of his GoFundMe account created “based on requests” to help with his medical bill.
The transplant has been scheduled for end of this month.
