More partnership is coming the way of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), Abia State.
This time, it is from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abia State Command.
Speaking during a courtesy and advocacy visit paid to the command on Wednesday by Abia POCACOV, the Sector Commander of FRSC, Abia State Command – Mr. I.P. Ugwa – described the activities of POCACOV as relevant, especially at this time that there is a strong need to curb drug abuse among the populace.
He decried the erosion of family values for being responsible for the high rate of crimes in Nigeria.
Sector Commander Ugwu appreciated the visit and assured the POCACOV of the partnership of the sector command in mobilizing against vices in Abia State.
In her address, the Chairman, POCACOV, Abia State and leader of the delegation – Mrs. Adanma Odefa Wachuku – reiterated the commitment of Abia POCACOV to partner with relevant stakeholders in the state in mobilizing against cultism and other vices.
She described the FRSC as one of such relevant stakeholders whose interaction and knowledge about the behaviour of different demographics would serve as a useful resource for POCACOV.
In a vote of thanks, the Station Manager of FLO FM, Umuahia, who’s also the Vice-Chairman of Abia POCACOV, thanked the sector commander for pledging his support, describing him as an individual who is always ready to work with the media and other important sectors to ensure a peaceful state.
