The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has disclosed that she’s partly Nigerian.
In an exclusive conversation with Senegalese-American actress Issa Rae and Nigerian-American comedian Ziwe Fumudoh, the 41-year-old mother of two disclosed she took a genealogy test a couple of years ago and that she was excited that the result came back showing she’s 43 per cent Nigerian.
”I had my genealogy test done a couple of years ago and I am 43 percent Nigerian,” she said. ”I was incredibly excited to sit down with Ziwe, a Nigerian-American comedian, actor and writer.”
The revelation came as a surprise to Ziwe who excitedly shouted “No way!” before asking about the exact Nigerian tribe she’s from.
“I am going to start to dig deeper because anyone that I told especially Nigerian women are always like what?,” Marble responded.
