Popular Nigerian musician – Chop Boii (also known as Sempe) – has been killed by alleged unknown gunmen.
He was killed Tuesday (yesterday) alongside his producer and two others in the Gwarimpa area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT: Abuja.
The musician was reportedly in the house with his producer, his (the producer’s) girlfriend and a friend, when the attackers struck.
The gunmen chopped their fingers off after killing them and used their blood to scribble on the wall, sources say.
It was gathered that the gunmen came for the music producer and his girlfriend and not for the musician.
“The late Chop Boii was at the wrong place at the wrong time,” a friend of the musician tweeted.
The attack occurred at the residence of the record producer.
“The unknown gunmen’s targets were the producer and his girlfriend, but unfortunately for them, Chop Boii and his friend were also there, and they butchered them all, even writing on the wall with their blood after cutting their fingers off.” a source disclosed.
The FCT police spokesperson – Josephine Adeh – confirmed the incident but didn’t give further details other than: “Yes, we are investigating.”
