The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has sacked Gov. Ademola Adeleke as the duly elected governor of the state.

In a split judgment of two to one, the tribunal sitting Osogbo declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, should withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Adeleke.

INEC should issue same to former Gov. Adegboyega Oyetola, the tribunal mandated.

Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Tertse Kume, who read majority of the judgment said Oyetola scored majority of the awful votes of 314,931 against Adeleke’s 219,666.

The minority judgement is ongoing.

More details to come…
