Aggrieved Nigerian migrants kept at the Menoyia Immigration Detention Centre in Larnaca, South Cyprus, Monday set camp tents on fire.
The Nigerians reportedly did this in protest against not being informed of the actual date of their deportation back to Nigeria.
A quick response from the fire service curtailed the fire from spreading to some other facilities, Greek Cypriot police said.
The Nigerians are said to be waiting for their flights back to Nigeria but were disgruntled when they were not clued in on the flight arrangements.
Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
