Police in Israel Sunday, Aug. 28, detained a bride at her wedding.

This happened in the Lower Galilee town of Arraba, as the police came to arrest the groom.

Footage from the scene showed the police escorting the woman in her white, flowing wedding gown into a car.

The groom was suspected of holding a weapon illegally and had broken a restraining order to stay out of the town just so he could attend his wedding, the police said.

Officials added that the bride and some other people were suspected of helping the groom run away from the event as officers came to take him in.

“They ruined the happiest day of my life,” the bride told Israel’s Channel 12. “As for the suspicions, I don’t know what they’re talking about.”
