The Surulere division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 34-year-old man for allegedly robbing six women of their belongings.
The police said Ifeanyi Odieze Ezenagu lured his victims to a hotel, where he laced their drinks, culminating in their falling into a deep slumber. before he made away with their items: three iPhone 12, two iPhone 11 Pro Max, one iPhone XR, one Nokia phone, one wristwatch and one gold necklace, with a total value of N2,368,000,
Lagos police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin said investigations revealed that the suspect had no fixed address but lured women to different hotels where he drugged and robbed them clean.
He added that investigations further revealed that Ezenagu had robbed more than 30 women since he ventured into this sort of crime.
The police said they were working hard to apprehend buyers of the stolen items from the robber with a view to brining them to book.
