Time is up for bandits, Boko Haram terrorists and other criminals that have turned Nigeria into their playground, the Chief of Army Staff ( CoAS), Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya, has said Monday.

There would be no hiding place for them and anyone else who takes up arms against the Nigerian state in whatever guise, the army chief warned.

“They should be prepared to face the full wrath of the law.”

Yahaya gave the warning in Maiduguri while on a visit to boost the morale of troops fighting the Boko Haram terrorists and commission projects aimed at bettering the lives of troops and enhancing their welfare.

He said the army was poised  to carry out the mandate given to them by Pres. Muhammadu Buhari.

“The violent criminals will soon meet their waterloo,” he said. “This is a message to all the criminals, whether they are making videos or whatever they are making, the time is up and we will get to them by the grace of God.”

The army chief admitted there were security challenges in some parts of the country, adding that “the recent happenings by these criminal elements are panic action, and they will definitely see the noose getting close to them; it’s just a matter of time, we will get them.”

Yahaya revealed that the army has bought some battle weapons which would soon be deployed to different parts of the country to tackle insecurity.
