Rivers Gov. Nyesom Wike Thursday said Peter Obi – the presidential candidate of the Labour Party – has all the “characteristics” to lead Nigeria.
Wike in addition pledged to provide logistical support for the former Anambra governor’s presidential campaigns in his state.
“Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you,” Wike told Obi.
“I know you as a person, you have all the criteria, you have all the characteristics to lead this country, you have it. Nobody can deny that for you.”
Wike, a PDP chieftain, stated this in Port Harcourt, the state capital, at the venue of the inauguration of Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover.
Obi and his running mate – Datti Baba-Ahmed – were in the state capital to commission the 9th flyover built by the Wike administration.
Earlier, Obi and Baba-Ahmed were welcomed to the Garden City by a large crowd of their Obidient supporters.
