The spokesperson for the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike – Adanma Odefa – has been appointed the chairman of the Abia State chapter of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).
In the letter of appointment, the national coordinator of POCACOV – CSP Ebere Amaraizu – described Odefa as “an individual with a track record of positive activities who has been deemed fit to pilot the affairs of the organization in Abia State as the Chairman.”
POCACOV is a community policing initiative and public relations tool of the Nigeria Police Force.
The aim of the organisation, which was established by an inspector general of the police, is to partner with different stakeholders and multiple agencies to enhance participation in problem-solving for safe, peaceful and secured communities.
