Rivers Gov. Nyesom Wike Thursday rewarded players of the state-owned Rivers United soccer club with US$20,000 (N12 million) each for winning the Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL.

During the ceremony which held at the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt, Gov. Wike shook hands and took photos with the team and also conferred on each member the Governors Medal Service Award (GMSA).
